It is definately on top of my list for my next perfume purchase! I came across this perfume whilst shopping for a gift, Normally I avoid the celebrity perfumes like the plague! Seems every other celeb is marketing their wares at you. I was convinced to try it by the salesperson, and was totally surprised as it just smelt divine. The perfume serum spray feels absolutely fabulous on the skin, silky smooth it transports you to heaven. I was a bit surprised at first, the smell is quite different to the perfumes I normally like, I usually go for the more fresh, sharp, citrusy types. But after letting it linger for a few minutes, I was in love and had found my first signature scent. Since then, I have received another (larger) bottle as a gift and will continue to buy it for a very long time. It really does make you feel like a true lady, reminds me of fresh linen sprinkled with roses or some other kind of divine smelling petals. Lasts all day on me, but I still re-apply.. try it, you will love it. So sophisticated. It has a very musty lavender smell which to me made me think of my great grandmother's old house, and the sample card that I had in my wallet left an unpleasant smell in my bag for weeks. If your looking for a sophisticated fragrance, give it a try but I would not recommend this perfume for a young woman. I trusted Oprah's opinion on the fragrence as she is an Aquarian like myself & I have to admit that she was spot on the money when she said this perfume was a good one - it is more than Lovely, it's Wonderful! I was so excited when Lovely came out. Being a huge fan I was all the more impressed that the necklace came with it. It's a very different smelling perfume. Its crisp, sexy, fresh & oh so yummy. Lovely is perfect for evening & day wear. I have recieved alot of comments whilst wearing it. And let's face it we all want to smell Lovely!! This is the type of perfume that you can wear every day and not get sick of it, because of the ingrediants used it maintains its fragrance all day with no need to re-apply. this perfume is designed for the girl who wants to smell pretty and feel good about herself. It is a beautiful floral scent that can be used during the day or even at night. It is a soft light perfume and just improves after you have put it on. A perfume not to miss if you like florals. At first the scent did not "kick-in" until a couple of hours later when someone had asked what perfume I was wearing as the smell was "lovely". I was surprised at how much I liked the mix of fresh and sweet but each one not overpowering the other and have started to take a liking to the colour pink. Now I wear it every other day and the fragrance lingers in my clothes - I have found that you have to reapply it again during the day as the fragrance starts to disappear but, the price of 100ml is certainly worth it! Very soft and light, equally adaptable for the office during the day or a romantic evening. The scent is also perfect for spring days - think pastel pinks and greens, soft, chic fabrics - well matched to the fashion of the moment. The downside to the perfume is that it lacks the strength to carry the scent through the day; a retouch at lunchtime is required. It's not quite up to my favourite, Coco Madamoiselle by Chanel, but a pretty good substitute for the current season. Smells very different when first applied....give time for the fragrance to develop and it is, quite simply LOVELY. Only trouble is, you have to reapply after a few hours. 'Lovely' has a classic, old fashioned scent, bringing to mind Audrey Hepburn type simplicity and beauty. The mild 'with a twist' smell appealed to my senses, as I imagine it would be the perfect accessory to a 'sophisticated cocktail' outfit. Or simply wear in order to radiate a SJP style confidence and glamour. Classically Lovely. Its light and you can wear it day-in day-out, morning or evening. The only drawback is it doesnt seem to last as long as many of the other EDP. My friends agrees with me that the perfume does not seem to last the whole day considering its an EDP. I know I've had to put on more of the perfume after lunchtime. Beautiful perfume no doubt! Not being a SJP fan I am surprised at just how LOVELY this scent is. Very fresh and crisp it invokes images of flower gardens in full bloom, ladies in white linen dresses and bright blue skies. I knew SJP had launched a perfume but knowing Britney & Paris had jumped on the ol' "I've got a fragrance" bandwagon, I wasn't that keen on having yet another celeb hocking their wares upon me. The neat, pretty and not over the top bottle however nabbed my attention and I thought I should at least give it a chance and I'm very glad that I did. To summarise it in one word would be "feminine". It's not an overpowering fragrance so perfect for anytime of the day wear. If your still not convinced, here's the clincher girls - I work with all men and 2 of them noticed I had a different fragrance on and both loved it. So there you go - if a man can notice something like that, it must be saying something good about the fragrance. Two thumbs up - its a winner. In true Sex and the City style -one of its feminine ingredients include Apple Martini. And for all you obsessed fans who own all the shows memorabillia you'll certainly want to add this one to your collection -a free nameplate necklace. You've got to love that!
